Remember my Carolyn sweater well.. can you believe my surprise when 1 1/2 rows from the end on the front neck band I run out of yarn. How is this possible? I had bought the amounts called for in my pattern, and to my great horror if that was not bad enough the on line store I had purchased the yarn from no longer carried that colour they were sold out and had no idea if they would carry that colour again. Has that ever happened to anyone? This is a first for me and I must say I don't like the feeling of panic one bit. Needless I had to spend the better part of a week looking for a match and found one with a very slight colour difference and I pulled back the half row so I don't think anyone will notice. (I hope)The buttons really make this sweater I hope my daughter will like it.

Back Yard
I am still here but as the weather is so great of late I thought I would do something in the garden, more specifically my back yard. Some years ago my husband and I build the Arbour on to our house it has stood through all kinds of weather conditions, we are quite proud of it as we were not sure what we were doing. Well this past weekend being a holiday weekend in Canada (Victoria day)I made an canape / covering of sorts so we can enjoy it more when the sun is too hot not to have some shade. Some other pictures of my yard. This weekend we will go to the garden center and get our hanging baskets.

Baby Stuff

It has been a few weeks since my last post but I have been knitting be it slowly. Here is a picture of the baby romper I made for a baby shower I am invited to next weekend. I think I still have time to make the matching hat. As you can see from the colour it is a girl. The romper is made from 100% cotton and is it ever soft.
